Volunteer with Stone Soup!

Our volunteers play a critical role in the success of our program. From building relationships with participants through on-site support, to fortifying life skills and helping our community access essential resources, our volunteers provide unrivaled support for Stone Soup’s mission.
Coronavirus Update: In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our current volunteer opportunities. Please reach out to Candace at candace@stonesouppdx.com

Current volunteer opportunities:
DELIVERY DRIVERS: Join our team as we work to alleviate hunger. Stone Soup PDX is working with Multnomah County, producing meals for the additional shelters that have opened due to COVID as well as some of the tiny house villages. We are looking for immediate help with our lunch and dinner deliveries Monday - Friday. Lunches run in the 11AM to Noon range and dinners between 5-6PM. Volunteers should have a car that can fit at least 6 large boxes. We follow strict safety protocols - all volunteers are required to wear masks and gloves, which Stone Soup can provide.

This unique volunteer opportunity is a partnership with the Levy Group, where we will be staffing the concession stand at the Moda Center and Providence Park during events like Trailblazer games, Timbers games and concerts. It is a major fundraiser for Stone Soup, and we are hoping to generate over $12,000 in the next year with this program. The job is straightforward: take and fulfill customer orders in the concession stands. Generally the events are around five hours. Volunteers will need a current Food Handlers Card and OLCC Server's permit (we can help with both of these).
Participate in a variety of activities - such as making face masks, or developing Stone Soup’s training space. Our Weekend Warriors are community members who are looking for impactful ways to volunteer without a weekly commitment.
