Volunteer with Stone Soup!
Our volunteers play a critical role in the success of our program. From building relationships with participants through on-site support, to fortifying life skills and helping our community access essential resources, our volunteers provide unrivaled support for Stone Soup’s mission.
Coronavirus Update: In response to COVID-19, we have adapted our current volunteer opportunities. Please reach out to Candace at with any questions or concerns.
Current volunteer opportunities: DELIVERY DRIVERS: Join our team as we work to alleviate hunger. Stone Soup PDX is working with Multnomah County, producing meals for the additional shelters that have opened due to COVID as well as some of the tiny house villages. We are looking for immediate help with our lunch and dinner deliveries Monday - Friday. Lunches run in the 11AM to Noon range and dinners between 5-6PM. Volunteers should have a car that can fit at least 6 large boxes. We follow strict safety protocols - all volunteers are required to wear masks and gloves, which Stone Soup can provide.
Participate in a variety of activities - such as making face masks, or developing Stone Soup’s training space. Our Weekend Warriors are community members who are looking for impactful ways to volunteer without a weekly commitment. Sign up for Stone Soup’s volunteer program to receive our monthly newsletter with our current opportunities by filling out the form below.
Every week we wash our towels and aprons. It's a labor of love, and we're all about sharing that love with you! We're looking for volunteers to help out once a month by picking laundry up on Fri afternoons and then dropping it back at Stone Soup on Monday mornings. We'll provide everything you need to wash the items.
